• Taxis are the most convenient way to navigate Casablanca city, with quite affordable rates. If using a taxi, it is helpful to have the venue name written down or saved on your phone in French: “Bibliothèque Universitaire Mohammed Sekkat, Route d'El Jadida.”
• Petit taxis are vehicles that operate exclusively within city boundaries and carry a maximum of 3 passengers. In Casablanca, petit taxis are red.
• The ride from L’Oasis station takes 10-20 minutes, depending on traffic.
• Most taxis and local shops accept cash only (Moroccan Dirham - MAD).
• Ride-hailing apps:Careem and InDrive are widely used in Casablanca. However, these apps lack the necessary licenses required by Moroccan transport law and they operate in legal grey areas.

 

Conference Tips:

• Casablanca traffic can be heavy, especially during morning rush hour (8:00 AM – 9:30 AM). We recommend leaving your accommodation at least 45 minutes before the first session begins.
• For mobile internet, you can order e-sim from apps such as Airalo
